The Medici Society Limited, London 1924 Large quarto, 90, [vi]pp 320mm x 265mm. Dorchester House in Park Lane. His son and heir, Sir George Holford (1860-1926), in association with the Burlington Fine Arts Club catalogued the Westonbirt Collection in 1924. Sir George died in 1926 and the Dorchester House catalogue published by his executors in the following year. The Holford Collection was sold in three record-breaking sales by Christies in 1927 and 1928. Also included with the lot is a handwritten record of the sales’ results.
