360 × 290 mm, ruled in drypoint for two columns of 40 lines, written in a fine, well-spaced early Romanesque script, rubrics in orange-red, somewhat oxidised, the text comprising readings for the 8th Sunday after Pentecost, and the days immediately before and after (“eius. Quod cum audisset David [2 Samuel 3:28–37] … Dominica VIII. Rex David senuerat [1 Kings 1:1–11] … In II N(octurno). … [1 Kings 1:12–24] Fer(ia) II. … [1 Kings 1:32–41], Fer(ia) III. … super mulam regis David [1 Kings 1:42–44]”), decorated with one- and two-line initials in red, and one large 3-line initial ‘R’ (“Rex David senuerat …”, the opening of I Kings 1:1) in red containing pale blue and green compartments, one “viii” in a late medieval hand showing continuing use then, recovered from use on a binding or as a wrapper, with consequent folds, holes, and stains.
