Title within decorated border, first 2 leaves ragged at edges not affecting text. Between the first few and the last couple of leaves, the pages are clean and crisp, with some minor marks. Full recent leather over raised bands, label. Wilcox was a non-conforming Puritan of the Elizabethan era and was imprisoned for 1 year with John Field. C.H. Spurgeon writes of this work “Short spiritual remarks, followed by many doctrinal inferences, calculated to suggest topics to preachers.”.
