Includes a descriptive catalogue of bindings decorated with Appolo and Pegasus plaquetter. Hobson attempted to prove that these bindings were exectuted at Rome for Pier Luigi Farnese (1503-47), the second son of Alessandro Farnese, later Pope Paul III.
